Bindu Bimarsha – Peer Review Policy

Bindu Bimarsha follows a strict peer review policy to maintain the academic and analytical standards of the articles it publishes. All submitted manuscripts go through the following process:

  1. Initial Screening:
Every submission is first screened by the editorial board to ensure it fits the scope of Bindu Bimarsha—i.e., research-based articles on Odia literature, culture, and criticism. Creative writing, such as poems, stories, novels, translations, or plays, is not accepted.

  2. Plagiarism Check:
The manuscript is checked for originality. If plagiarism is detected, the article will be rejected without review.

  3. Blind Peer Review:
Submissions are reviewed by at least one expert in the relevant field under a single-blind or double-blind review system, depending on the context. The reviewers evaluate the article based on academic merit, originality, relevance, clarity, and depth of research.

  4. Reviewer's Feedback:
Based on the reviewers’ comments, the manuscript may be:

    • Accepted without revision

    • Accepted with minor/major revisions

    • Rejected

  5. Revision & Final Decision:
If revisions are requested, authors must resubmit the updated manuscript within a specified timeframe. The final decision rests with the editorial board.

  6. Timeframe:
Authors should expect the review process to take up to six months, depending on the availability of reviewers and the revision cycle.

  7. Consent Letter:
All submissions must be accompanied by a signed consent letter declaring originality and agreeing to the review and publication terms.
